AERO Hiring An Executive Director

AERO seeks a dynamic, energetic, and visionary leader to serve as its Executive Director. We are at a pivotal point in our growth and seek a proven leader to guide our organization from 40 years of demonstrated achievements to the next era of our work. Our Board seeks an ambitious Executive Director, someone passionate about the work the organization has done and who brings his or her inspiration to build our organization’s future.

The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented, and passionate professional who effectively balances multiple diverse elements of the position. The Executive Director’s work will include:

  • Responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of AERO’s operations, including fundraising, program development and management, communications, administration, financial management, and Board direction;
  • Setting a sustainable and overarching programmatic and financial strategy for the organization and advocating effectively for its mission; and
  • Building partnerships and relationships with organizations and members across the state and broader region.

Creativity and savvy in relationship-building are key to the position, as is the ability to provide executive oversight for all aspects of AERO’s operations. The Executive Director is the primary face of the organization and must be able to effectively articulate the importance of AERO’s mission, goals, and vision for our region.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package. The preferred location for this position is Helena, Montana; however, candidates from other locations in Montana will be considered.
