Rattlesnake Creek Vineyard (Ten-Spoon)

4175 Rattlesnake Drive, Missoula Montana 59802

Rattlesnake Creek Vineyard makes certified organic wines with no added sulfites. Our 4.5 acre vineyard grows certified organic French-American hybrid grapes; Marechal Foch, Frontenac, Leon Millot, St. Pepin, St, Croix and La Crosse. We are improving our pasture for wildlife habitat and have Hungarian partridges, songbirds, hawks, mountain lion, bear, coyotes, and whitetail deer pass through. Andy Sponseller, winemaker, and Connie Poten own the vineyard and winery and are working with neighbors on a conservation easement. Casey Louis, vineyard foreman and assistant winemaker, and Katie Christofferson, Casey’s assistant, manage the vineyard and winery using sustainable practices. We make our own compost form sheep bedding straw. The vineyard prospers form long sunny days, good airflow, drop irrigation and rigorous pruning and trellis attention. The winery and equipment are cleaned daily, the wine micro-filtered to make sure it lasts years in the bottle without added sulfites. In accord
