Uncle Kevin’s Lamb shepherds our lamb in the Shield’s Valley and around the Livingston, MT area. We use many organic practices but are not yet certified organic. We are however, certified through American Grassfed Association and Western Sustainability Exchange. Our lambs are grass fed, grass finished, never fed grain nor treated with any antibiotics or hormones. We raise them in a low stress environment that anyone would love. Also, while many ranches have lambing season happen mid-winter, we plan our lambing season to start mid-April; it’s easier on the animals and means they will soon have fresh green grass to graze on. We also focus on keeping our environmental impact as low as possible by practicing Intensive Grazing Management, herding our animals into a limited pasture area, where they graze quickly, and then move on. Our grazing practices ensure that plants are not over grazed, and plants have adequate recovery time thereby saving the landscape. All of our lamb is processed at a local USDA certified facility lowering our carbon foot print with less transport needed. We offer all cuts of lamb, including half and whole lambs, through our
