Heritage Poultry Workshops in Helena July 18-19

The Lewis & Clark County Extension Office is offering a series of poultry workshops on July 18th and 19th.  Jim Adkins, poultry expert from the International Center for Poultry, is coming to Helena to do a two day workshop.  The first workshop is Monday, July 18th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bill Hamilton 4-H Building located at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds.  The topics to be covered include poultry showmanship and poultry judging.  The workshop on Monday is primarily targeted for 4-H and FFA members, but adults are welcome to attend as well.  The workshop on Monday is free.  On Tuesday, July 19th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm the workshop with be located in the 4-H Bill Hamilton Building.  The topics to be covered on Tuesday include poultry management and heritage breeds of poultry.  Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop.  The cost for the workshop on Tuesday is $15 per person.  A dinner will be served with the workshop on Tuesday.  To reserve your spot for the workshop, contact the Lewis & Clark County Extension Office, 447-8346 or by email at [email protected].
