We're on a mission!

Today, the biggest danger threatening the well-being of Montana citizens is the precariousness of our food access. In this era of climate chaos and pandemics, relying on a fragile and easily broken global, industrialized supply chain to feed ourselves is unsustainable. Without a resilient and reliable food system, Montana’s future is at risk.

To better communicate our mission, in 2025 AERO will be doing business as “Abundant Montana.”

And, we’re committing all our resources towards goal of the initiative: getting 33% Montana-grown food on all Montana plates by 2033.

We’re clear: Montana has the land, history, and communal knowledge to be food self-reliant again, and AERO’s intention is to leverage that to grow a resilient and reliable Montana food system for all.

Our goal is ambitious, and we’re up for the challenge. We are a trusted partner to enterprises across the state with relationships built over 50 years. The Abundant Montana program is the go-to resource for local food in Montana. We are connecting eaters with local food businesses through our Local Food Guide (25,000+ copies distributed annually!) and our Find Food and Farms Map, with over 800 listings. Our Local Food Coordinators are our boots on the ground, attending more than 50 events annually and connecting farmers and ranchers with support, community, and customers.

Our campaign goal is $200,000 by the end of the year.
