We're Hiring a Director of Philanthropy!

AERO is hiring a Director of Philanthropy to lead the fundraising efforts of our organization as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and embark on a 10-year strategic initiative to grow a resilient and reliable Montana food system for all Montanans.

This is a chance to help take our legacy organization to the next level as we draw in a broader, more diverse public into vital conversations and collaborative engagement focused on stewarding Montana-grown, health-giving food resources for the future health and well-being of Montana’s citizens, families, and communities.

The Director of Philanthropy is a key member of the organization’s leadership, overseeing all the fundraising activities that support programming in our three focus areas of (1) building consumer demand for MT-grown foods; (2) building MT market channels for MT producers, and (3) building community knowledge, resources, and networks. The position works closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors Fundraising Task Force.

The ideal candidate is a high performing individual with thorough understanding of a wide range of fundraising techniques; deep regard for the Montana values of stewardship, reciprocity, and kindness; an appreciation for the value of strong, food- and nutrition-secure communities; and experience advancing justice, equity, diversity and inclusion within fundraising principles.

Application review begins April 22.  The position is open until filled.

We're Hiring Four (4) Local Food Coordinators!

If you love connecting people to Montana-grown food and have a passion for helping Montana food and farming businesses thrive, this job is for you.

We’re now hiring four (4) Local Food Coordinators – one each in the following regions of Montana: Northwest, Western, Central and Eastern Montana.

Abundant Montana is the go-to resource for local food in the state. Using a revenue-driven product and services model, Abundant Montana is growing a more resilient and reliable Montana food system by: (1) building the consumer demand for Montana-grown food, (2) building in-state market channels for Montana food and farm businesses, and (3) building knowledge and relationships so communities can design local food systems that work for them.

Our team of four (4) Local Food Coordinators live in communities across Montana and engage directly with consumers, producers, and community stakeholders. Their objectives are to (1) build consumer knowledge and appreciation for Montana-grown food, (2) add Montana-grown food producers and retailers to Abundant Montana’s Find Food and Farms Map, and (3) generate leads to help Montana producers build their in-state sales by using Abundant Montana’s marketing technical assistance, business-to-business connections, and promotional support services. This position will work closely with the Sales Manager, to whom the Local Food Coordinators will hand off sales leads, and will report to the Director of Community Partners and Sales.

Application review begins April 4.  The four positions are open until filled.
