Community Giving Days - A great way to support AERO

May 5-6th, 2022

It’s time to give! Starting May 5th, Montanans around the state will be celebrating 24 hours of generosity, supporting the organizations and causes that serve their communities every day. Giving Days are a fun and easy way to donate to AERO and to any of the other great participating nonprofit organizations in your area.

Join AERO’s Giving Day campaign and help us reach our goal of raising $4,500 for AERO on this day of generosity. No matter the size, every donation counts! Help AERO spread the word by telling your friends and family members about the important work we do and asking them to join our Giving Day campaign–every donation has an impact!

As the saying goes, Montana is one small town with really long roads. While AERO’s home office is in Helena, we have boots on the ground across the state and work in big and small communities everywhere. Why? Because when it comes to issues of sustainable agriculture and energy resources, climate resilience, healthy community food systems, and equitable food access, it takes collaboration, a commitment to building trust and lasting partnerships, and holding a big-picture perspective. We envision a more sustainable Montana for ALL.

This year, AERO is participating in three community Giving Days: Greater Helena Gives, Give Big Gallatin Valley, and Missoula Gives , making it easy for our statewide community of sustainability enthusiasts to give through the campaign platform of their choice.  AERO also carries out substantial programming in these regions, and everyone agrees we provide value to each community’s sustainability efforts.

A few ways your Giving Day contributions support AERO programs:

• Helps fund our six “boots on the ground” Local Food Coordinators’ efforts to map Montana’s local food assets across the state for AERO’s Abundant Montana (AMT) Find Food & Farms directory. AMT is Montana’s local food megaphone, uplifting local food businesses through a coordinated digital and print marketing  and consumer education approach. More on Abundant Montana here.

• Helps fund registration and travel scholarships for students, new farmers, and Native community members to attend AERO’s Expo 2022, happening at Arrow Peak Lodge outside Great Falls, Sept 30-Oct 02. Registration opens July 01! More on Expo here.

• Helps fund Local Food Coordinator networking and stakeholder engagement efforts as part of the Montana Food Economy Initiative (MFEI) Community Food System Assessments being performed in the Helena, Billings and Fort Belknap communities in 2022-2024. More on MFEI here.
