Cottage Food Producer Survey

AERO needs your input! 

AERO is partnered the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services to improve cottage food law understanding for producers and registered sanitarians. To better represent the needs and challenges that cottage food operators face, we need to hear your experiences setting up or running a cottage food business. Please provide your input by completing this 5-minute survey.

Your responses will inform a proposal to revise the internal rule for cottage food enforcement and an educational workshop this winter, with opportunities for follow up small group technical assistance to support cottage food operators.

Specifically, we want to:

1.  Help expand the list of allowable cottage foods for Montana.
2. Provide internal guidance to registered sanitarians to encourage consistent enforcement of cottage food law between counties.
3. Ensure that our workshops provide relevant education on new food safe packaging that decreases reliance on single-use plastics.
