5th Annual Montana Local Food Challenge

Eat Something Local Every Day

August 1, 2020 - August 31, 2020

Online Event

Are you up to the challenge? This August, we are challenging you to eat local food every day. We’ll also be giving you a fun new challenge every week, encouraging you to ask for more local foods in your community and to help support Montana agriculture in a bigger way.

Why local?  Because local foods are good for our health, our climate, and our community.  Local foods:

  • build community and local economies.
  • support local farm and ranch families.
  • preserve genetic diversity.
  • protect our regional food security.
  • taste better and is often fresher.
  • preserve open space.
  • support a clean environment and benefits wildlife.

The Montana Local Food Challenge is an opportunity for individuals, families and businesses to challenge their current buying and eating habits and make a commitment to eating locally while learning about the myriad of benefits to be gained from localizing our thinking. Take the Challenge!
